Weekly protests in Freeport:

NOTE- Schedule has been known to change with the changes of daylight hours and temperatures through the seasons. We’ll do our best to keep this website updated when changes occur.

MONDAY through FRIDAY, 3:30-5:00 PM “Rush Hour Bridge Brigade” AT TWO FREEPORT LOCATIONS!! Take your pick:

Desert Road/Exit 20 overpass Mallet Drive/Exit 22 overpass

TUESDAYS, 7:30-8:30 AM “Stop Fossil Fuel Investment” protest at LL Bean Corporate Offices Corner of Main and Casco St.

TUESDAYS, 8:00am-10:00 AM Corner of Main and School St. (run by “Visibility Freeport”)

SATURDAYS, 11:00-12:30 Rte.1/Desert Road intersection (near the “Welcome To Freeport” sign/across from the Shaw’s shopping center)[NOTE— we will NOT be holding this standout on NO KINGS DAY, March 28, 2026. Please join one or more NO KINGS rallies instead.]

Please participate whenever you can. As this protest movement evolves, an understanding has grown that we are more likely to convince other people by showing that we support things that they support, rather than by expressing our outrage over a political figure. To that end, some ideas for signage include (but are definitely NOT limited to): ”Protect the Constitution,” “Due Process for All,” “Defend Free Speech,” “Stop Project 2025,” “Save Veterans’ Benefits,” “Save our National Parks,” “Protect Medical Research…”

POSTCARDS TO CONGRESS

The goal: Mail 1,000,000 postcards to Congress in sustained monthly waves. We mail TOGETHER on the first of every month (but if you miss the 1st, better late than never).

WHAT’S THE PLAN? A Weekly Discussion with Indivisible’s Co-Founders

Thursdays, 3:00-4:00 PM

Sign up HERE.

The onslaught of news, the chaos coming out of the White House – it’s all meant to overwhelm us. It’s a deliberate strategy to sow confusion and make us believe we are powerless to fight back.

The antidote: Coming together in community to process what’s happening, to sift through what’s important and what’s just noise, and coalesce around strategies for fighting back.

Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin each week, as they carve out an hour to discuss what’s happening and – more importantly – what’s the plan.

FYI— These sessions are recorded so can be viewed at a later time if you are not able to make it at 3:00.
